I like writing.

I like reading.

It's a habit picked up from young, I suppose.

My mum told me that I used to snatch magazines and books from her when I was just a toddler crawling around on the bed.

And when I was young I would pester her to get my tons of books to fill up my bookshelves with.

I remember I had an obsession with keeping all the covers of my books as sharp and pointed as possible, and would wrap them nicely and take care of them with all my heart.

When other kids were playing and running around at the playgrounds outside, I would be sitting quietly reading my Pooh Bear books and try to write the numbers 0-9.

I kinda remember that.

I would also beg and beg my parents to bring me to all the bookstores in Singapore just to get my limited edition books from series such as Mary Kate & Ashley, Sweet Valley Teens or something, Archie(The special 60s 70s 80s Americana versions...yes I have them all MUAHAHAHAHA. :x) and lots more.

One book spree would total up to over $100 and my parents would happily fork out the $$$ cuz they think it's better to splurge on books than on toys or clothes or other more 'normal' things that kids want.

Ahhh, me love books.

Personally, I also think that it's good to study more and read more.

I read somewhere (lol) that reading involves a special brain process which can never be substituted by other activities.

It trains our cognitive ability, and enables us to form links between the different elements of language more easily, which helps greatly in developing linguistic skills.

So by just reading, you will also be learning how to read in a coherent manner.

That's good.

AND read more newspaper.

It has become a habit now, actually.
